From a Father’s Viewpoint

When Cassanda and I started this blog, I thought it would be good for me to make some occasional posts as well, but as she started posting, I realized how much better she is at expressing herself on here than I am.  However, I recently remembered finding out that we were having our first set of twins at the 20 week ultrasound.  I’m not sure how to describe the feeling, other than it was the biggest shock of our lives.  I remember soon after searching the internet trying to find advice for twins from the father’s perspective.  It was a hard fought battle, but I was able to find a couple of post from one dad with 4-year-old twins.  I have decided that writing from the perspective of a father, who honestly still doesn’t know what is going on too well, may be useful to someone, even if that someone is myself.

So here goes the start of a second witness of our fun, crazy family.  My name is Jacob Morrise and I, like my wife Cassanda, have 10 kids, 2 sets of twins, 9 boys and 1 girl, all born within 10 years.  While life is crazy, and I can hear screaming and stomping on the floor even as I write this, I wouldn’t change it for the world.  As a wise man said “Children fill the world with light, for they bring joy to all who love them.”
